1 tbsp tamarind
2 tbsp sambar powder
1 tsp mustard seeds

Soak and grind the idli rice and urad dal, then ferment the batter overnight.

Pour the airy batter into greased idli moulds and steam for 10 to 12 minutes.

Pressure-cook toor dal; simmer it with vegetables, tamarind and sambar powder until the vegetables are tender.
